Hi Gang!

This year, for my second vacation, I've chosen to visit Cambodia. "Why?", you ask? "Why not?" I answer! I'll be there for only 17 days, not a lot of time, but it'll do. I was hoping for a list of places that are considered "must do". So far, I'm planning on going to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. I want to spend at least 3 days exploring Anhkor Wat. Where else would you recommend I visit? Any advice you can offer me to get by in Cambodia?

Hey Tony, have you already finished your trip?  We've just arrived in Thailand and will be heading to Cambodia sometime over the next few weeks.  Would love to hear what you did (or, if you haven't travelled yet, what you have planned).

I haven't left yet. I'm leaving in November. So far, it's still in the planning stages. I'm in the planning stages right now. Looking for hostels, things to do, etc.
Does anyone know if it's expensive for Canadians to travel in Cambodia? Is 17 days enough to see the major parts of the country?

Scan this forum chief ---- if all answers aren't covered, I'm certain u will come across information that will lead u in the right direction, Greg's post's (on here and his other website's/blogs) are packed to the rafters with info on Cambo, daily budgets, things to do and how long to stay in places etc etc

As for being dearer for a Canadian - from a UK residents perspective - a chef can earn (depending on skill level) £15-20 hour, where as in Canada they may earn $20-25, from what iv'e read a budget of around $US25 is a very very comfortable daily budget, have heard of people doing it on $8 - may work out in your favour to change your money to other currencies before settling on 90% us dollers 10% riel or how ever want to do it, imagine you've already thought that anyway, jus givin u ma 2 cent's worth

Ejoy your planning  Smiley
