I'm looking into the 120 hr course, that one doesn't require a BA/BS degree, meaning that I can get "certified", but can't work legally in some countries. But what that does mean is that I get to trial it out, and travel, and give me quite a bit of flex time and experience. So, maybe I can't teach in Japan, but Maybe Nepal.

If anyone has some experience teaching English, by all means share it here!

Did you ever end up getting your certification through this site? How did it go?

I'm definitely looking into it, but as far as I can tell they don't offer job placement? I'm worried I will have a hard time finding work without a BA.

I just met 2 girls here that had returned from teaching in South Korea, a place that is supposed to be pretty strict for teachers and pays about $45K a year...neither of them had BAs or TEFL certification!

There are lots of opportunities to teach out there that don't go through the big placement companies which require contracts (and sometimes BAs)
